About Black Duck Software

Black Duck Software is a leading provider of products and services for accelerating software development through the managed use of open source and third-party code. Black Duck enables companies to shorten time-to-market and reduce development and maintenance costs while mitigating the risks and challenges associated with open source, including hidden license obligations, security vulnerabilities, export regulations and version proliferation.

In April of 2008, Black Duck acquired Koders.com, a free on-line search engine for open source software and other downloadable code. Tens of thousands of developers rely on Koders each day to search over a billion lines of code, written in dozens of languages, and identified with numerous software licenses. The power of Koders allows developers to quickly find reusable open source code, methods, examples, algorithms and more, enabling them to complete projects faster. This closely aligns with Black Duck’s mission of promoting the widespread adoption and efficient management of open source software.

Black Duck’s Commitment to FOSSBazaar

Software is increasingly comprised of components that are assembled from the open source community and other external sources. We are pleased to be joining the FOSSBazaar team who shares our commitment to evangelizing open source and educating software developers about how to use it safely and effectively.
