Alcatel-Lucent's Commitment to FOSSBazaar

Free and Open Source Software is one evolutionary path for software development. The use of mature FOSS increases openness, flexibility, independence, quality with the potential of reducing cost through re-use. However strong governance practices are needed to manage IP issues. For many years, Alcatel-Lucent has developed such practices, which are being refined on an ongoing basis. By joining FOSSBazaar, Alcatel-Lucent intends to share and exchange information relating to FOSS governance practices and related support tools, thereby hoping to leverage common practices with other industry leaders.
