Jake Kouns has published an article in the Open Source Business Resource (OSBR) introducing the Open Source Vulnerability Database (OSVDB) project which manages a global collection of computer security vulnerabilities: the OSVDB "is freely available to the information security community. This collection contains information on known security weaknesses in operating systems, software products, protocols, hardware devices, and other infrastructure elements of information technology. The OSVDB project is intended to be the centralized global open source vulnerability collection on the Internet."
