Phoronix reports that VIA has released over 16,000 lines of code that provides a frame-buffer driver for the Linux kernel. This follows VIA's announcement at the Linux Foundation Austin Summit in April that they would work more closely with the open source community and provide technical specifications, source code, and other information regarding their products.
